Hi, I'm Mary! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through many different seasons of life. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati, and I feel grateful to have spent my career helping people find healing, growth, and a stronger sense of balance.
I know that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and sometimes even a little intimidating. Because of that, one of my first priorities is helping you feel comfortable, safe, and understood. I believe therapy works best when there is a genuine connection and a strong sense of trust. My goal is to create a relaxed, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel supported as you work through whatever brought you here.
Over the years, I have worked in many different settings, including inpatient programs, schools, and home- and community-based services. These experiences have taught me that every person’s story is different, and therapy should never feel like a one-size-fits-all process. For the past 11 years, I have worked in private practice, where I focus on providing care that is personal, thoughtful, and tailored to each client’s needs.
My style is warm, flexible, and collaborative. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques. Together, we may work on understanding patterns, managing emotions, building coping skills, strengthening relationships, or reconnecting with the strengths you already have within you.
I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to walk alongside you with support, perspective, and practical tools. Whether you are facing relationship concerns, family stress, life changes, anxiety, grief, or simply feeling stuck, my hope is that our work together feels supportive, honest, and helpful.
