Hi! I’m Jackie, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I am dedicated to helping to create safe and supportive spaces for people to find growth and self-exploration. My counseling focus and passion is in working with trauma, substance use, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, as well as other mental health concerns. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and have experience using EMDR to help clients work through traumatic experiences, attachment injuries, and substance use cravings.

With my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University, and over 9 years in the mental health field, I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to creating the counseling relationship, and I believe that every person can make positive changes in their life when they have the right support to do so. After we have established a solid therapeutic relationship, I pull from a range of interventions from EMDR, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, strengths-based, and solutions-focused therapies. My goal for you is to create space to work through your thoughts, feelings, and emotions without fear of judgment or stigma with the support you need for your personal growth and for us to work together to find the best approach for you.

Any change is difficult, but learning new patterns is particularly strenuous, and I want to be able to provide you extra support in your journey to meet your goals. Whether you are brand new to counseling or starting over after multiple tries, let’s work together to explore what will work for you to live your best life. I will provide you with both endless support and compassionate accountability in your work to meet your goals.
