Hi! I’m Amy! As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my approach is rooted in the belief that every person carries a unique inner strength waiting to be uncovered—even during life’s toughest moments.
My professional journey began in high-acuity psychiatric care at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, where I learned the importance of being a steady, compassionate presence. From there, I went on to earn my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. Along my professional path, I have gained valuable experience in providing individual and group therapy services in a private practice setting. Whether I’m working with children, teens, or adults, I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are and walking alongside you as you work to overcome anxiety, depression, navigate trauma, manage addiction, rebuild relationships, and any other mental health challenges you face.
What truly sets me apart is my commitment to utilizing CBT, ACT, and person-centered approaches with a blend of expressive arts, alongside a trauma-informed, strengths-based philosophy. I’ve found that creativity can unlock healing in ways words sometimes can’t. In my work with children, adolescents, and adults, I have discovered that engaging them in thoughtfully designed art activities, mindfulness practices, and grounding techniques can be a powerful way to help them express emotions that may be difficult to put into words and allow them to connect with their inner resilience and rebuild a positive sense of self.
